Vintage 1981 Kenner Star Wars Battle Damaged X-Wing Fighter In Box

  

This is a nice vintage Star Wars Empire Strikes Back Electronic Battle Damaged X-Wing Fighter. This comes with the four guns and clear cockpit canopy. I left the canopy loose for the photos, so I don't damage the pegs, but they are intact.

I tested lights and sound. It took a little bit at first to try to get it working. The horizontal piece on the battery cover tends to move, that can impact how well the electronics work. The noise is a very generic steady motor noise, not sure what sound it's supposed to make, there's no rhythm to it. After cleaning it up, I had left the batteries in it. A month later it started up just the same, so it seems like any further issues would be in how the batteries are set. Fingers crossed there are none! I have tried to take pictures from every angle to detail every fault. Several decals have either come off, want to come off or have ripped on the vehicle.

The button you press for the lights and sound seems a bit chewed chewed up, probably from opening and closing the battery compartment. There are some areas that show discoloration. Not sure what is just dust. Some might clean up with a little elbow grease. Box is obviously showing quite a bit of wear.

Back flap is taped close, one part of that flap is torn. Lots of creases around the edges. Some original paperwork included, that shows a little yellowing as well. If you have additional questions, please reach out rather than finding issues when you receive it.
